ok so he plays double kick really fast... so does filthy animal taylor, lars (i'll be playing in a week) ulrich, dave lombardo and neal peart to name a few, so what he has no grove. check out ian paice's the mule from "made in japan" he does the same thing only with ONE foot, now that's skill, not to mention a way better drum solo.... f**k animal from the muppets could do better..... ps he's using 32 notes not triplets......

there is nuthin worst than people sayin this and that about other drummers (but i have a grudge with ben from PWD) all the drummers mentioned in this comment page are all very good. you cant compare Tommy Lee with Joey Jordison.......... really you cant they have completly diffrent styles. Tommy Lee is more 80s Hard Rock. Back in his day you would play a simple tight beat with few little chops here and there, put a little double kick work then theres your song. With Joey Jordison is really good its all double kicks and put a whole bar of a roll in. i have seen joey jordison go out of time he is diffently not the tightest of drummers.

Now I have met Ben from Parkway Drive hes not that good he kept stuffin up on all his fast rolls, he was however pretty tight with his double kick patterns. now this is a bit off topic but.............. BEN IS A FUKIN ASSHOLE I BET I COULD KICK HIS ASS IN A DRUM COMP ANYDAY

Speed and skill are two very separate things. I don't care how easy something can be played. If you, too, can play what Joey plays, then rock on. It doesn't matter how easy or fast s**t is, what matters is if it sounds good. His beats sound good. Plus, no one is better than anyone. Everyone has their own style.

Anybody can do triplets fasts, skill not speed , double bass pedal is nice but lets face it its cheating deftness of touch is where its at . Gene Krupa now theres a drummer, harvey mason, max roach , steve gadd, Art blakey, and lets not forget Filthy animal taylor from motor head all granddaddys of drumming .Don#t get me wrong He's good but in the grand scheme of things I would agree with jman in saying he ain't all that
