I reckon he had the moves planned and has practiced so much turning it with one hand that he can do it quick and easily.
Quite sad if that is the case. I can think of alot better things to learn and get good at.

On the display it says' stackmat' I've googled it and it's a speed competitors mat for tournaments. (Also used for cup stacking, like the KFC commercial.)

This isn't in reverse, he starts the same way as he puts it down. I'm sure it has something to do with that mat he has infront of him. (Linked to the timer) The turning in the fingers is also correct, look closely you see him push not pull, 'pulling' would be very obvious. As the rest of his movements. I'm sure you have seen it before, even if someone is close to standing still, it is obvious when something is played in reverse.

It was in reverse. Look at how the turns jump into his fingers. And the end when he slams is down.
