why wolud they say anything like "it goes from 0 to 100 in 5.7sec..." or that its super charged or call it a european race car or even build up the tension by making the beemer faster than it is. 240hp is 240hp and 300+hp is 300h+hp a big difference...

the whole thing just sounds like a big publicity stunt...

Posted by:  Guest  on June 10th, 2006It was probably an E30 M3 with an E36 S52 engine swap. In any case, those cars can run circles around any camaro if there are any twisties involved. Yeah the camaro kinda kept up in a straight line but the kid punked him big time. Lame ass ending...obviously the car didn't break down...they are meant to be driven that way on the autobahn.

Posted by:  Guest  on April 25th, 2006kid is brilliant, and the ending is obviously fake, he had to have gotten away, or else they would have shown an actual stopping instead of a slow-mo of the braking before the spikes. One other thing, camaro's don't beat m3's if there is any turning involved. plain and simple. this video seems to be realistic except for the fake ending.

For all you who think hp and top speed is everything, keep in mind how he could dodge spike strips at 100+ mph, and could stop and maneuver quicker than any US police cruiser could ever dream. THAT's what driving is all about. Not just top speed or horsepower. hp and top end are compensation.

Some of you people need to get informed before claiming horsepower figures, manufacturing dates, etc. There's a lot of BS written down in this thread...

Posted by:  Guest  on February 6th, 2006I just read all of these comments on this page and it sounds like all of those european people havn't seen a 1993-2002 camaro run down the high way at 160 mph. and that is stock, if you beef one up I'am pretty sure it can beat that M3 without any problem. And another thing if the kid was out running the cop then why in the hell would the cop have caught up and run side by side with him if was the kid I wouldn't have let him close to me>
