That would be like me saying because I met one or even a small group of people from another country or race and saying that because they were jerks, I'm going to say that the whole lot of them are jerks. That is just plain stupid. Oh and you said that the world looks to the U.S. because we are rich. Guess what else...we have poverty too. And not only that being rich does not obligate you to help others. It may be the moral thing to do to help others when you can but you are not REQUIRED to do so. EVERY person alive, I do't care where you live should strive for independence and self reliance. You should not look for your government to take care of you. As an Maerican citizen, the only thing I want my government to do is maintain law and order, and secure our borders from all enemies, foreign and domestic. That's it, I'll handle the rest. Oh and as far as the F**KING maggots here who were looting and shooting at the rescuers, some of those same people have been relocated to my very city as part of the rescue effort. Now the rescuers hands were tied legally in Louisiana, but , as alegally armed private citizen, if they pull that s**t here, I will personally put them to sleep. Now I don't want to sound like some Billy the Bad Ass cowboy, because I'm not. I keep to myself, mind my own business, go to work everyday, take care of my family, and don't f**k with anyone. But, lawlessness, I will not tolerate, and I have the training and equipment to handle things if they think that they are going to wander around my city and try that s**t they did at home. Oh and to any New Orleans cops who may be reading this, especially those of you who were looting yourselves, and those of you who abandoned your posts... Take off your badges, and your uniforms...you are a disgrace to the calling.

So yes, people may have looked to America for help, but they didn't exactly get much. Now I don't agree with bashing other peoples countries, but I also don't agree that America and Americans are as great as they think they are.
