you would think that they would stop it by just not havin sex but most women get raped over there so its not an option for them, so then their children are born with it so its not an option for them either

i agree with cocknocker waaay down the page, they don't need treatment, they need prevention in the first place. the only thing being that they do have access to preventative methods, but don't use them. it's sort of like getting pregnant - you can get pregnant then take the morning after pill or have an abortion, but you can also not get pregnant in the first place. yea AIDS is terrible and all, but it can be prevented!...i just realised how often i said 'prevent' in this...but that's the point - prevention, not a cure afterwards

Quite logical, Think, unfortunately it is actually very common for animals to kill and/or eat offspring that have obvious defects. My statement about humans trying to achieve stasis does not solely apply to our species, however. In our fight to retain our current status, we also manipulate nature itself, at the same time polluting our environment, and handpicking that which we think deserves to be permanent. With our great efforts to ensure our own survival, we reduce the likelihood of every other species' survival, and try to compensate by saving that which we force out of existence. Human nature fears mutation, of our species or any other, and thus we try to halt mutation of our entire environment. Our (assumingly) greater intelligence merely provides more room for flaws and grievous error to occur. At a social perspective, these diseases are a blight on our species; at a global perspective, our species is a blight on the environment.

Well said well, I couldn't have put it better. It is, in fact, extremely unnatural for any animal to knowingly ignore anything that would help them to servive, especially regarding anything that would prevent thier offspring from surviving , like aids.

liquidk, you complain about the way we put up defences against disease and go against "mother nature". obviously, it didnt occur to you that animals dont try to find a cure because they cant. they move on because that is the best survival technique. viruses mutate and evole in order to survive, and the way humans survive is fighting the disease. they are all different methods of survival, but because humans are the most intelligent, ours are the most sophisticated. its not going against mother nature, its going with our instinct to survive.
Aussie comedian Brendon Burns isn't shy about saying what is on his mind, which is pretty well demonstrated in this clip where his views on racism are questioned.
