Posted by: Guest on June 20th, 2006the guy that got hit by the motor wasn't an official, he was a mechanic for a team in one of the the support races, renault five turbos i think. Sadly he was killed and a friend of his in same jacket got hit by a tyre and got broken collarbones or something. The marshall who gets skittled early on in the shunt was concussed but not badly hurt, was a lady as i recall?

Posted by: Guest on May 24th, 2006I was at Donnington that day and saw the crash from the otherside of the circuit. McNish was very lucky. Unfortunately the marshal was killed. McNish's car shell finished in the road that goes under the circuit at that point. I was with a mate and my 8 year old son who saw it all.
