Posted by:  Guest 72809  on August 27th, 2007I don't think the guy was necessarily an idiot for parking there. The hydrant is gray and there are no marks on the street. It also appears there would be less bend in the hose if it went out and over the hood verses straight up through the windows. Its a case of the firemen being dicks, I mean it had to take more time to bust windows and then pass the hose through to other side than just going over the hood. And for those that are bashing the car, its a $3k car, you could have had 4 of them for what you paid for your POS cavalier, so try to be a little less jealous.

Posted by:  cny fire fighter  on June 3rd, 2007Doesn't happen often, but I did knock out the windows of a 67 mustang. I died a little inside, but then I got to put out a fire and watch the owner bitch about it.

So yes, you do get the windows knocked out and as an added bonus you get a ticket and insurance won't pay for anything.

I recognize them cause me and my buddy got in a fight fist fight right out in front of them. If that is the case that guy know's how to get out of spots that tight cause there are about 4 million miles of cars there with about 1 million miles of curb to park on. and yes they will knock out the window cause you can replace a couple of windows you can;t replace a burning building or a life. so thay don't really think about it. thay just do it and most of the time its cause the link wont line up for the hose to be straight if they put all that pressure into a bent hose it would be really bad
